News : April 2012 - 2Y2 with display (+ updated 2Y1)

The DIY 2Y2 is almost available. the original 2Y1 had an option for an inbuilt 4-digit display, but we could not source a vital component and could never offer this option. The 2Y2, available later in April, will offer this option. At right is a working prototype in a grey case - all kits will have a black case. It shows the LED display mounted atop the case but alternate positions are possible.

Remember the 2Y is a DIY unit. It's not for everyone, but if you have the skills to build it then you'll end up with a professional quality unit. If you can't build a DIY unit, then we offer other units starting with the 2J range (we recommend the 2J9 model which is our lowest cost ready-to-go unit.

This site requires JavaScript to be active for correct display and menu operation. It also requires the latest browsers and supports Firefox 2.0+ and Opera 9+ and Safari 5+ (earlier too?) and Google Chrome
It will NOT work correctly with Netscape 7+, and other browsers that do not correctly implement CSS. It sort of runs with the broken IE8 (ie. in some silly compatibility mode). It will NOT work correctly with Internet Explorer 6 (or below) - it used to work, but we have found it too hard to maintain compatibility with both new & old IE browsers.
